The officers of the Comanche County Sheriff Department are sworn to protect the lives and property of all those living in and passing through Comanche County. This is a responsibility we do not take lightly, but we also use a common sense approach to law enforcement never forgetting that we are all human and make mistakes. I hope you are never in need of our professional services, but should you be, we stand ready to serve you 24 hours a day.

Sheriff Stradley

 

Kenny Stradley is currently the Sheriff of Comanche County, a position he has held since January, 1989. He began his service to Comanche County in 1974 by serving as Sheriff's Deputy for 3 years then moving to the Lawton Police Department Kenny worked in the Patrol Division, the Undercover Detectives Division and was a member of the S.W.A.T. team. In 1985 while serving in the line of duty and was medically retired by Lawton Police Department.

In 1996 Kenny was awarded "Sheriff of the Year" by the Oklahoma Sheriff's Association. Kenny lives east of Lawton with his wife Midge, who is a Branch Manager and Vice President with Arvest Bank, and his son Kenny Wayne. He and his family attend Letitia Baptist Church also east of Lawton.

During his term as Sheriff, Kenny has served on several community boards including the Crisis Pregnancy Center and J. Roy Dunning Children's Shelter. Sheriff Stradley currently serves on the Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control Commission. This position is appointed by the Governor and his post will run through the year 2008.
